Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of iceline.app and related services, run by Hive Asset Group, LLC. Read them. Using Iceline means you agree to them.
Effective October 29, 2026
1. Who we are
Iceline is operated by Hive Asset Group, LLC, referred to here as “Iceline,” “we” and “us.” Contact us at hello@iceline.app.
2. What Iceline is
Iceline publishes ice thickness reports, trail conditions, forecasts and related information for lakes and trails. Information comes from users, resorts, public agencies, weather data and models. It is information only. It is not advice, a guarantee or an inspection.
3. Ice and trail safety
No ice is ever 100% safe. Conditions change by the hour and by the spot. A report describes one place at one time. You decide whether to go on the ice or a trail, and you accept the risk. Read the Ice Safety Disclaimer, which is part of these terms.
4. Your use of the service
- You must be 13 or older to use Iceline. If you are under 18, use it with a parent or guardian.
- Do not post a report you know is false, and do not report a spot you have not seen.
- Do not scrape, copy or resell our data at scale, interfere with the service or try to break it.
- Do not use Iceline in any way that breaks the law.
5. Reports and content you submit
When you submit a report, photo or note, you keep ownership of it. You give Hive Asset Group, LLC a worldwide, royalty free license to host, display, adapt and share it as part of Iceline, including on share cards and in search and AI results. You promise you have the right to submit it. We may remove content at any time, and we may mark a lake or trail red when we receive a credible report of open water or an incident.
6. Paid features
Some features may be sold as a subscription called Iceline Pro. Price, billing period, trial terms and cancellation steps are shown at checkout, and payments are handled by our payment processor. Current conditions, recent reports and share cards are meant to stay free. If we offer a paid plan, we will post its terms before you pay.
7. Third party sources and links
Iceline links to resorts, agencies and other sites and uses map data from OpenStreetMap contributors and OpenFreeMap. We do not control those sources and are not responsible for them. Some links are affiliate links, explained in our Affiliate Disclosure.
8. Our intellectual property
The Iceline name, logo, design, software and compiled data belong to Hive Asset Group, LLC or its licensors. You may share a link or a share card from Iceline. You may not use our marks or copy the service without written permission.
9. No warranty
Iceline is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not promise that information is accurate, current, complete or fit for any purpose, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.
10. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Hive Asset Group, LLC and its members, managers, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any injury, death, vehicle or property loss, arising from your use of Iceline or your reliance on any report, forecast or status. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
11. Release and indemnity
You release Hive Asset Group, LLC from claims tied to your decision to go on ice or a trail. You agree to defend and reimburse us for claims, losses and costs that come from content you submit or your breach of these terms.
12. Ending use
You can stop using Iceline at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or put the service or other users at risk.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using Iceline after a change, you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you agree to that venue.
